This year is our year of Ascension in the Deliberate Christian community. To ascend is to be elevated, to surmount, to go higher, to take off, to soar, to increase, to rise, to upsurge, to climb, to scale, to mount, to move upward, to grow, to take a leap, to advance, to progress and much more. This will be your reality this year in Jesus name.

The two dimensions of ascension

The Bible records two dimensions of ascension. They are:

1.The ascension of Jesus – Luke 24:0-51 and Acts 1;9-11

2. The spiritual ascension of believers

3. The ascension of believers on the last day (rapture)

Significance of ascension to believers

The ascension of Jesus is significant to believers in the following ways.

1. It signifies the possibility of rising above human limitations
2. It signifies the possibility of glorification
3. It signifies elevation
4. It signifies that Jesus will be returning for his bride on the last day

Who can Ascend : Requirements for Ascension

While everyone will love to ascend, not everyone will be able to ascend. God has conditions for ascension. Firstly, only those who have surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ can ascend. Psalm 24:3-4 says who shall ascend unto the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Those who can ascend must have clean hands, pure heart,vanity-free soul and must not swear deceitfully.

Benefits of Ascension

1. You become a secret place dweller
2. Visibility – You become a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden
3. Blessing
4. Clarity – You receive an aerial view of things in the spirit.
5. Dominion and Authority – You are above. You exercise authority over all the Lord has placed under you.
6. Divine Encounter – You encounter Jesus at a deeper level because he resides in the hill of the Lord.
7. Better relationship with God- You become a more committed son or daughter
8. Righteousness – Because you spend more time with God, his righteousness robs off on you.
9. Spiritual Gifts – You receive spiritual gifts for  ministry to yourself and others
10. Deliverance – because you are endowed with dominion and authority, you receive deliverance and you are able to minister deliverance to others

1. Thank you Lord for the blessing of your ascension and the privilege given to us to ascend just as you have.
2. Lord have mercy on me and forgive me for all sins that hinder divine ascension
3. Lord do not let foundational battles stop me from ascending this year in Jesus name
4. Lord do not let territorial battles stop me from ascending this year in Jesus name
5. Lord do not let the battle of self stop me from ascending this year in Jesus name
6. Lord do not let contrary winds stop my ascension this year in Jesus name

11. This year, my destination is ascension progress, growth, joy, success . I shall not land in regret, sorrow, disaster or sorrow in Jesus name
12. The God who the winds and waves obey powers my ascension this year. Forces of darkness will not shoot me down in Jesus name.
13. Wrong decision will not be my undoing this year. I shall ascend in Jesus name
14. Indecision will not steal this year’s ascension from me in Jesus name
15. Jehovah straighten my crooked paths this year for hitch-free ascension into greater glory in Jesus name
16. Oh Lord perfect all that concerns my ascension this year
17. I redeem the time from all evil this year, I shall ascend in Jesus name
18. As I ascend, Jesus shall be made popular in my life this year in Jesus name
19. As Zaccheus conquered the limitation of his height and ascended to be seen by Jesus, my personal limitations shall not be my hindrance to ascension in Jesus name
20. Thank you Lord for my divine ascension is a reality in Jesus name.
