Bible Reading

James 1:3-4 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Introduction

It’s a new year and everyone is pressing hard on the accelerator to get to their goals for the year. The velocity is unprecedented. Everyone is pumped up and going at the speed of light. While all of these are good, you should ensure that you are not sprinting all the way to December to realize you were running on the wrong lane or that you have skipped lanes.

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Anyone who saw the world (heaven and the earth) in the beginning in its formless, void and dark state would have written the world off. What good can come out of this mess? some would have said. We all know how the story of creation ended with beauty.

Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Don’t get pressured to also get into the readily available to head to the unknown. Your life might look like the formless and void earth in the beginning of the year, but when the spirit of God is done hovering, unimaginable beauty will spring out of your mess.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

Be patient with God. God knows what to do. God knows what he is doing. God knows how to do what he needs to do and God will do all he needs to do at the right time.

Be patient with God. God has no oversight. There is no aspect of your life that will be left unattended.

Be patient with God. He does only the best.

Be patient with God. He is not only working for you, he is also working in you

Be patient with God. He always delivers on all he has promised.

All needs will be met according to his riches in glory

The work of creation was ordered so that nothing was created without its need being met. God saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone, He identified the need and made Eve.

Give the Holyspirit room to hover over your life and give the right perspective to the state of things. Remain in his presence.

Psalm 11:16 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

It’s okay if others have already started counting their wins and you are still waiting on God for the next move. Remain in his presence. You are waiting on the one who controls time and seasons. You will not be late. You will arrive at the right time and God will be glorified.

.Prayer

Lord help me to run at your pace in the right direction in Jesus name.
