Truth: Frequencies, Capacities and Reception

bible page on gray concrete surface

One truth we learnt from the Deliberate Christian Hangout “Aphrodisiacs amongst Christian couples” is that half-truth can be more dangerous than ignorance.

When seeking the God-truth (God-truth is the only truth, but many call half-truth God-truth) on any issue, you need to approach the word with humility.

You don’t study the bible with any pre-conceived knowledge. You present a plain slate (mind) for the Holyspirit to write on.

This does not mean all you knew before the study is completely wrong; it simply means you are giving the Holyspirit a chance to vet them, discard aspects that are natural, earthly or demonic wisdom(yes, Christians can, and do receive demonic wisdom) and impress that which is whole truth(wisdom from above) upon your mind.

The reason for truth variation amongst Christians

The reason for truth-variation amongst Christians is because our channels of spirit reception are more often than not, infiltrated by diverse knowledge sources like our background, present circumstance, our ego, the societal truth, demonic interceptions and lots more.

Besides this, our spiritual capacities differ. The Holyspirit is one. He never says what the father is not saying. I guess this reveals that if we are all hearing or receiving from the same source, we should be receiving the same truth.

This is usually not the case, frequencies differ.

Our spiritual development plays a huge role. Your antenna will not be able to receive frequencies that are stronger than its capacity.

Your inability to receive a higher frequency can also cause you to discard the higher frequency a more developed Christian presents as heresy, when it isn’t.

Can we then say there is higher and lower truth?

I beg to differ. Truth is truth. What makes it or rather makes him truth, is that he has no variations. What anyone might like to call lower truth, is in itself, spiritual dysfunction or spiritual immaturity and it is costly for both the speaker and hearer(s).

How to receive the truth

Since we are all at different stages of development spiritually, what then do we do to frequencies we receive at our varying stages of development? Be humble.

Acknowledge that you have received in part.

Be open to listen to higher or what you might term lower frequencies.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;1 Corinthians 1:27 KJV

Return to the word like the Berean Christians, in HUMILITY, not with an ambition to fault what you have heard or read, because it is different from yours.

This is the testing process, and without humility, you will get the answers you want, and not the truth.

The test for truth

Testing for truth requires that we acknowledge that God is the custodian of grace and he distributes it how he sees fit. It has nothing to do with age or status.

A child might receive a higher spiritual frequency than a Bishop. This notwithstanding, such a child must be humble enough to receive the frequency of the bishop and humbly present theirs, following the timing and wisdom offered by the Holyspirit.

Any truth from God needs be shared in love with a goal to glorify God and edify the church. The purpose is defeated if the truth you are sharing is to crown you greatest bible scholar ever, and make others look stupid.

Those receiving it, must also receive the truth with humility. Not despising the bearers because they are youths.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.1 Timothy 4:12 KJV

The danger of truth competition

We shouldn’t engage in truth competition. This would mean we don’t belong in the same team. We are all members of the body of Christ. We don’t trade truth. What glory will it bring to God?

Before you share your next truth revelation, remember it was given. Even though you laboured in the spirit to receive it, it is a mercy gift. Some labour and do not receive.

Above all, ask this important question – what do I intend to get from sharing this truth revelation? If it does not serve the purpose of glorifying God and edifying the saints, it is better kept than shared.

All glory to the truth, who is himself the giver.Amen.
